Weather Rescheduling Policy

I understand it can be discouraging to look out the window to inclement weather the day of your portrait session. My experience has given me the ability to provide amazing portraits for my clients regardless of overcast or cloudiness.

If there is greater than a 20% chance of rain or snow during your portrait session according to The Weather Channel you may elect to reschedule within 90 days of your original session date to another day I am available. Patterns change very frequently, and I do not begin the rescheduling process outside 24 hours prior to the start time of your session.

Kindly note weather reschedules are not permitted for reasons other than rain or snow such as overcast or cloudiness.

Cancellation Policy

I understand that you may need to cancel your portrait session due to unforeseen circumstances, and I am happy to work with your situation as long as it does not interrupt business operations.

All retainers are non-refundable. Clients may cancel their photo session up to 7 days prior to their photo session without being responsible for fulfilling payment for the remaining balance of their session. If client cancels their photo session less than 7 days prior to the photo session, client agrees to pay photographer full remaining balance for their photo session as fair compensation for photographer reserving session date and turning down other potential clients.

Kindly note that cancelling your session will limit the ability to book future services with Sammy Mich Photo LLC. All cancelled appointments must sign a cancellation agreement.

What should we wear?

Each client that books a photo session with Sammy Mich Photo LLC gains complimentary access to our online outfit styling service through Style and Select.

The process begins with a questionnaire and desired color palettes. Style and Select will generate results based on your preferences, gender, and size. You can use the results as inspiration while you hit the mall (or your closet) OR you can shop directly from the results using the links provided. Retailers include boutiques as well as larger retailers such as Nordstrom, Old Navy, Torrid, H&M and more.

Can we bring our pet?

Absolutely! I have a fur baby of my own and know how important it is to make sure they are in the family photos. My only requirement is that you bring someone with you (that is not a part of the photo session) that can handle the pet when they're not in the shot. Be sure to bring lots of treats!

When will we receive our gallery?

For portrait sessions you will receive your gallery within 30 days of your session date. Wedding galleries are delivered within 6 weeks of your wedding date.

*Please keep this in mind when booking, especially if you need your edited images by a certain date. Rush edits can be done in 7 business days for $500 per gallery.

How much time should I allocate for portraits?

You may be wondering how much time to allocate for portraits throughout your wedding day. You will receive a detailed photography timeline with this outlined information within 6-8 weeks, but if you need a general idea beforehand, this should help!

Detail items: 45 minutes
Reception details & decor: 45 minutes
Just Bride: 30 minutes
Just Groom: 15 minutes
Bridal Portraits (you and your spouse): 30-60 minutes
Bride & Bridesmaids (large group): 30 minutes
Bride & Bridesmaids (small group): 15 minutes
Groom & Groomsmen (large group): 30 minutes
Groom & Groomsmen (small group): 15 minutes
Entire Bridal Party (large groups): 20 minutes

Do you have a second shooter?

Yes. Every wedding I bring along my assistant to help me capture every little detail and help the day run smoothly. You can find my assistant photographing a second vantage point, setting up gear, and everything in-between! Depending on your wedding day events, I may have an additional assistant if necessary.

If I need to cancel my wedding, is the retainer refundable?

The retainer along with any monies paid are non-refundable. Once your retainer is paid and client service agreement is signed, I am holding the date exclusively for you & your event, turning down all other projects for that date.

I allow a one-time transfer of your retainer to another date I am available if your event is directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with at least a 90 day notice. Proof from your venue is required.

When will we receive our gallery?

Wedding galleries are delivered within 6 weeks of your wedding day. Clients always receive a few "sneak peek" images within 1 week.
